Subscription terms for E-Teori
In force from: 9 October 2026 · Version: 2026-10-09
1. Who you are dealing with
E-Teori is provided by Obsivor ApS, Kvarmløsevej 36, C/O Trykkeriet, 4340 Tølløse, Denmark, CVR no. 28848161 ("we", "us"). You can contact us at support@e-teori.dk.
These terms apply when you, as a private individual, take out a subscription to E-Teori. One-time purchases without automatic renewal are covered by our general terms of sale.
2. What the subscription gives you
The subscription gives you access to E-Teori's online theory-test training (questions, tests, explanations and statistics) for the licence category you choose, on e-teori.dk and in the E-Teori app, for as long as the subscription runs. The access is personal (see section 10).
3. Who can subscribe
You must be 18 or older to subscribe. You confirm this when you buy. If you are under 18, you can buy the same access as a one-time purchase without automatic renewal.
4. Price and payment
The price and the period are shown on the purchase page, on the payment page and on your receipt. All prices are in Danish kroner and include VAT. You pay by payment card through our payment provider Stripe, and you receive a receipt by email for every payment. We charge no fees beyond the price.
The first payment is charged when you subscribe. If you already have access that ends more than 48 hours from now, the first payment is charged only when that access ends; the date is shown on the purchase page and in your confirmation. If your current access ends within 48 hours, the subscription starts immediately and the remaining time is not added.
If an offer or a promo code applies, it lowers the first payment only. Every renewal is charged at the normal price, which is shown next to the offer when you buy.
5. Automatic renewal
The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the price and for the period shown when you subscribed, until you cancel it. The amount is charged to your payment card at each renewal. The price of your subscription does not change while it runs.
If your subscription period is 8 days or longer, we email you at least 7 days before each renewal. Subscriptions with a period of 7 days or shorter renew without a prior email; the next renewal date and amount are shown on the purchase page, in your confirmation and under My subscription.
6. Cancellation
You can cancel the subscription at any time under My subscription on e-teori.dk or in the app, without giving a reason and without a fee. When you cancel, the subscription does not renew, you are not charged again, and you keep your access until the end of the period you have paid for. You can undo the cancellation under My subscription as long as the period is running.
You may also always terminate the subscription with one month's notice to the end of a month, at the earliest five months after the agreement was made (Danish Consumer Contracts Act, section 28). The subscription then ends on the earlier of these two dates: the end of the period you have paid for, or the end of the month following your notice. If you have paid for time after the end date, we refund it proportionately for the whole days you do not get access, to the payment method you paid with. A renewal does not restart the five months.
7. Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day you subscribed. Renewals of a running subscription are not new agreements and do not start a new withdrawal period.
When you press "Buy subscription", you expressly request access immediately, before the withdrawal period has expired; this is stated on the purchase page directly above the button and repeated in your receipt. Nevertheless:
- 7-day full money back: if you withdraw within 7 days of the agreement, you get back everything you have paid under the agreement.
- If you withdraw later, but before the period expires, you get back the amount for the whole unused days of the period you have paid for.
You withdraw by using the withdrawal function at e-teori.dk/fortryd, by emailing support@e-teori.dk with your email address and, if you have it, your agreement reference, or by using the standard withdrawal form in Annex 1. You do not need to give a reason. We send you a receipt with the time of your withdrawal. When you withdraw, your access ends, the subscription does not renew, and we refund the amount you are entitled to no later than 14 days after we received your withdrawal, to the payment method you paid with.
Withdrawing is not the same as cancelling (section 6).
8. If a payment cannot be completed
If a renewal cannot be charged, we ask you to update your payment card under My subscription. We retry the charge for up to 7 days. You only have access to the periods that have been paid for. If the payment does not succeed within 7 days, the subscription ends and the unpaid invoice is voided. We charge no fees or interest for failed payments.
9. If you delete your account
If you delete your account, the subscription ends immediately and you are not charged again. If you have paid for time after the deletion, we refund it proportionately for the whole days you do not get access.
10. Personal access, sharing and misuse
Your subscription and your login are personal and may only be used by you. You may not share your login or let others use your access, and you are responsible for keeping your password to yourself.
If your access is used by several people, from an unusual number of devices, or in a way that indicates sharing or automated use, we may temporarily block the access and contact you. If the misuse continues, we may end the subscription. We always warn you first unless the misuse is gross. We do not refund paid time lost because of gross misuse.
11. Our content — copyright and no automated use
All questions, tests, explanations, images, videos, texts and software on E-Teori belong to Obsivor ApS or our licensors and are protected by copyright law. You may use the content for your own preparation for the theory test. You may not copy, publish, pass on or sell the content, and you may not use it for text or data mining, for training AI models or for other automated purposes. Any automated access to E-Teori (e.g. scraping, bots or scripts) is prohibited.
12. What we promise about the content — and what we do not
E-Teori trains you for the theory test. Our questions are based on the Danish Road Traffic Act and the official curricula, but they are not the Danish Road Traffic Authority's official test questions, and the official test may differ. We update the content continuously, but we do not guarantee that it is complete and error-free at all times, and we do not guarantee that you pass the theory test. If you find an error, please write to support@e-teori.dk.
13. Changes to content and features
We update and improve E-Teori continuously and may add, change or remove questions, tests and features. Such changes do not entitle you to a refund as long as the core of your subscription (theory-test training for your category) is not materially reduced during the period you have paid for. If we materially reduce the service, you may cancel to the end of the period and have paid time after the end date refunded proportionately.
14. Support and technical requirements
We help you at support@e-teori.dk on weekdays. We answer as quickly as we can but do not guarantee a specific response time. Support covers E-Teori — not your device, your internet connection or other software.
You must provide a device with an up-to-date browser or the latest version of the E-Teori app, and an internet connection. We may change the technical requirements when we update the service; the details are on e-teori.dk.
15. Liability
We are liable under the general rules of Danish law. We do not exclude liability that we cannot lawfully exclude towards consumers. We are not liable for indirect loss, including loss resulting from a failed theory test, a postponed driving schedule or lost driving lessons, unless the loss is caused by our gross negligence or intent.
16. Downtime and force majeure
We aim to keep E-Teori available around the clock, but short interruptions can occur, e.g. for maintenance, which we announce in the app or on e-teori.dk where possible. If an interruption we are responsible for lasts more than 24 consecutive hours, we extend your period accordingly if you ask us to. We are not liable for circumstances beyond our control, e.g. outages at internet or payment providers, power failures, cyberattacks, strikes, pandemics or orders from authorities.
17. Personal data
We process your personal data as described in our privacy policy at e-teori.dk/privatliv. Payment details are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.
18. Changes to these terms
These terms apply to your subscription in the version you accepted when you subscribed. If we change the terms, the new version applies to new agreements. The price and the terms of your running subscription do not change while it runs.
19. Complaints and governing law
If you are unhappy, write to support@e-teori.dk. You can also complain to Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg, Denmark, via naevneneshus.dk, or use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr. When complaining, state our email address support@e-teori.dk. The agreement is governed by Danish law.
